4WD falls off barge on way to Fraser Island

i know on the face of it its funny but,

what if someone was asleep in it?

you would think there ought to be some kind of barrir at the back of the barge stopping cars from just 'rolling off'

there isnt even anything stopping people from falling overboard. how is this possible with insurance these days?

David there is a barrier but from what I just heard on the news

it hadn't been closed at the stage the 4 wheel drive rolled off -

apparently they had the handbrake on but the car in neutral Smiley Surprised

As a small child I remember where I lived a car with from memory 2 or 3

school children and the Father went to drive onto the punt and the punt

musn't have been secured and it moved and the car went into the

water under the punt and they all drowned.

when were they planning on putting the barrier in place, when they reached land?

who's running this ferry service, dumb and dumber??

even a vehicle with its brakes off in neutral shouldnt be able to roll off. thats called planning for the worst.

i think this company had someone died in this instance would be out of business real soon.

They usually put the ramp up partially but also have it down for steerage initially

At the end of the day when on the barge handbrake on
in first gear
ignition off

Main fault driver error

bet he thought the h /brake was on don't reckon it was

Ps Ive used the inskip / fraser barge before
