Coronavirus isn't causing Australia to run out of food — but why are shelves still bare?
if trucks are not able to deliver 24 hours a day then allow it, simple!
until things return to normal.

Coronavirus prompts deregulated shopping hours as charities call out for volunteers
so now in SA you can go to woollies 24 hours a day and not buy anything because the shelves are empty?

True. I guess some things are going to come under review due to this disease emergency!

the way this is going we will be seeing news reports of coles trucks being held up by gangs and emptied on the side of the road!
not criminal gangs but ordinary people taking the law into their own hands because they keep going to the store and seeing empty shelves.

Our local IGA get TWO deliveries a week, so if it get stripped bare on Fri, there isnt another delivery until the following Tues.
I spoke to the owner today, they are having probs getting the stock they are ordering, only 1/2 or less of their weekly orders are arriving

Truck drives are only allowed to drive for a certain number of hours a day so they can't drive 24/7. Even if they did it'd be the same people who'd strip the shelves just so they can sell it to the rest of us at double or triple the price.
Some country town supermarkets are now asking for proof of a customers current address, if you dont live locally, they are refusing to sell to you ....... Fair enough, I say!
