Funny how councils don't have the same attitude to dangerous gum trees. They planted a gum on the nature strip near my house years ago and many times it has dropped branches out on to the road.
My mother's neighbour has a gum tree where the big gum nuts fall like bullets into my mother's backyard. She is in her late 80s and these gum nuts are very hazardous. The tree is old and spindly and very very tall. It has to stay no matter what according to the council.
