I didn't know that Bonnie Pointer of The Pointer Sisters passed away on the 8th of June this year.
I like some of their songs too.
Bonnie Pointer - Heaven Must Have Sent You (1979)
And Steve Priest on the 4th of June this year. He was the bass player with The Sweet and took over as lead singer after Brian Connolly left in 1979
Don't mind the Sweet actually.

Some great songs from the Pointer Sisters especially in the 80's.

Nothing lasts forever.
Especially for The Sweet - only one original member is still alive (Andy Scott).
I only have one Sweet record (a single) - their version of the old Joey Dee and the Starlighters hit 'Peppermint Twist'.
It's a fantastic update of an old 60s classic.

For us,yes.
For future generations?
Maybe not so much.
To them we''ll just be silly old bigotted angry white people.
It's the way they've been educated.

You got that right if you're referring to yourself.
Funny that somewhat contemporary bands to The Sweet aren't seen in that light by the modern generation. At least those who think music should contain some sort of melody, an actual talent, and a modicum of originality.

What on earth do you mean?
I may be considered old (by some) and I'm white but I'm neither silly nor bigoted. I don't get your correlation between my comment on the Sweet and your weird reply.
Care to explain your comment?
