Disclaimers on emails

Do they mean anything?

Are they legally binding?

Here's a garden variety example of one...

Ain't worth the space it takes up :^O

Would you delete something potentially juicy and revealing?

I certainly wouldn't if it gave me a much needed edge in business, and I wouldn't be telling the sender I'd received it in error either, but then I openly admit to being a born again B :^O

Disclaimers on emails

If it's from someone who works in an industry where there might be sensitive information it should.. My cousin is in the Army and I have in the past received an email from his work email with that disclaimer..

It also depends on what is in the email, if it's just a joke or something then it doesn't mean anything,

You keep using that word, I do not think it means what you think it means

Disclaimers on emails

I think that disclaimers on emails probably have the same effect as disclaimers in real life ... that is, it depends on the wording, the context and the facts.
