Than the way Halloween is celebrated after it's introduction here.
Do the young people running around in their horror costumes trick or treating even know what Halloween is about? Do they really want or need all those sugar-laden treats they're given?
In a day and age where sugar consumptions is at an all-time high and known to cause diseases such as diabetes and caries?
Do they care?
Unlikely.
I get that it's fun, but so mindless.
A bonanza for the retailers and manufacturers of confectionery and costumery, of course.

i think its about globalisation, in another 25 years it wont mater where you wake up (at least in the western world) everything will be the same.
when we start celebrating thanksgiving and independance day we will know we are doomed.
