Pauline Hanson's One Nation has secured three seats in Western Australia's upper house, meeting the party's expectations after it failed to secure a single seat in the lower house.
State leader Colin Tincknell secured a South West seat on election night and a fortnight later, Robin David Scott won a seat in the Mining and Pastoral region while Charles Smith grabbed an East Metropolitan seat.
Mr Smith's win was a surprise as some analysts were expecting the seat to go to Liberal MLC Alyssa Hayden.
He was among several One Nation candidates to speak out against the party's preference deal with the Liberals, which both sides have said damaged them at the polls.
It goes to show how politics is all about ""making deals!"

Did anyone else watch last nights 4Corners story about One Nation and Pauline Hanson?
Here is a woman who got into politics many years ago, hooked up with a suave mover and shaker which led to her being jailed!
after watching last nights story on todays One Nation and Pauline Hanson she seems to have learned nothing from her earlier attempt at world domination.
she has again hooked up with a mover and shaker, is fronting a party doing shady deals and riding rough shod over her supporters.
i will not be suprised at all if Pauline winds up in prison again while her offsider walks away untouched.
