It would be this one that they know about:

I'm always getting NAB ones & also the other main 3 banks & some lesser ones - along with the regular PPal scam ones. I just delete them.
My 80yo Mother got a message on her smartphone about her phone banking being compromised last Friday, She didn't know what that was & so rang me & then I had to explain about phishing emails - a concept she had trouble understanding.
These & similar phone scams seems to particularly target the elderly. She's even recently had phone calls saying her computer has been compromised & to give them all her details so they can fix it - Thing is; She doesn't have a computer, tablet or wi-fi @ all! Only the phone that she doesn't even know how to use properly! (At least she's safe in handling that type of call! - Lets them do their spiel then tells them she has no computer)
Then there are the solar panel & etc home phone cold callers - My Dad gives those to the rather chatty cockatto to handle! Saying they must speak with his business manager. After lots of hellos, some choice words & screeches from the birdy the caller hangs up! An admirable solution in my book!

All those phone calls - the do not call register does not pick up as they don't come from a company - but Skype or the like.
I usually tell them I have to attend the oven - hang on be back soon.
Then go clean the bathroom or something.
Hang up when I'm done.
Just love wasting their time as do they - mine.

My parents are on the do not call list for their landline phone - but the calls keep coming on a daily basis! Always overseas call centres. (There's a slight delay before they can speak, which can give you hangup time if busy) - If not busy then it's fun to play with their minds & scripted spiel!
I've used the "wait a second while I attend the stove; crying baby, etc" & leave them hanging on timewaster many a time.
My all time greatest though is what my Dad does when he has time on his hands.... After thanking them for their call he says he needs the services of a telemarketer to promote his new concept for the American market - A life size blow up rubber dolly who F*r*ts to the tune of "The Star Spangled Banner" & can they help him with this? - The best response he ever got was a bloke from Mumbai saying "I've never been so insulted in all my life!" - Dad's response? Well you called me!
When Dad's playing with them like this they never get a word in - so he never knows what they were trying to sell him!
Sometimes he even asks about the weather; & having been to India & Pakistan as a young man; About places he's been, or their advice for an eldely traveller looking for a lady. My Dad has a warped sense of humour!

Tazz
It wasn't that one. I received it yesterday and I'm also not an NAB customer.
It was titled Security policies changed - Please read carefully. It went on to say they have implemented a new strategy for detecting any suspicious activity on your account blah blah blah.
I had a quick look at their known hoaxes and couldn't find it. I forwared it to the NAB hoax email.
I've been getting the ebay deals hoax one every day for the last 3 months.
