whilst i normally dont condone violence, and i certainly dont in this instance,

who hasnt wanted to punch tony abbott on the nose at some point?

the man who did this should be charged with assault and delt with in the usual way.

I wouldn't put anything past Abbott trying to get his face in the media and influencing the SSM vote. A slightly swollen lip from a head butt is a bit sus IMO. It was probably a yes voter trying to give him a kiss.

To be correct the word "alleged" must be used until the perpetrator is caught and found to be guilty

I have no time for Abbott but he IS entitled to is opinion as is everyone else
