Both the father and the Army Surplus guy were abusing the boy.  Craig killed his father after being shown how to become a sharpshooter. I think 16yo Craig became the  "mastermind" of the Army guy (in return for "favours") and encouraged the continued killing to cover his own action. 

The final scene where Nicki left the origami swan with her phone number for the male jogger was a nice touch.

I quite like the theme music.

Because the couple who were the first couple shot at the service sattion, the husband had a nasty way of getting people to sell properties to his companies.  The others were distractions to throw you off the two main targets
