I see it as a way of showing someone that you agree with their post, or appreciate it. If I find it amusing, or says what I might have said, I give a kudos.
or if someone asks a question and the answer helps them, they might give a kudos for the answer.
But that is just me. There are a few opinions.
Essentially, it can mean a lot or a little.
