I won't be giving the bank details, so is the account now worthless, or can it still be used to buy with paypal and sell with 'cash on pickup'. Thanks.

Maybe have a read of some of the many threads about MP on the Selling board. You will get reinforcement from the number of alarmists, but also facts from those of us already on MP. Who haven't been hacked, had their money stolen, etc. Also search the net for 'Adyen', the ACTUAL payment processor, and see what companies think they are legit. As well as the Australian government, who have given them a financial services licence.

I just sold an item on a different platform. I didn't pay the quadruple tax - ebay tax on item, ebay tax on postage, gst tax on item or gst tax on postage. If I can't sell on ebay, why do I need to shop there - it's a package, and I'm out. You see, I no longer need or want to shop thru ebay. This move gave me more confidence and enjoyment discovering shopping with other platforms on the internet, quite exciting actually.
