Dispute

Shorter question this time-
Dispute was escalated to a claim for SNAD + faulty item. Seller did not respond within 10 days. PayPal refunded my money and did not require me to send the item back.
Can the seller dispute/appeal this now? Can I be forced by ebay or PayPal to return it.. Also if PayPal has decided in my favour, and he whinges to ebay, can ebay over rule PayPal????
