I have raised a dispute with seller & hes agreed to refund, however wants me to post the item back.

I have raised a dispute with seller as the item received did not match the description & hes agreed to refund, however wants me to  post the item back before refunding. How am I protected under the circumstances? Any suggestions please. Thanks
