how do I issue a combined postage invoice

I've read the instructions, but I can't change the postage or give discount. It's simply not letting me do either. I have made the changes to flat rate shipping but it isn't allowing me to change these things. (Item has sold but payment not received due to waiting for combined invoice.)

when you are preparing the combined invoice you DO NOT hit the 'Recalculate' button when you have changed the postage amount.  Simply change the amount and hit the 'Preview' button and then hit the 'Send Invoice' button if the invoice in the preview is correct.
