Why can a seller say in Australia but are overseas?

I always try to buy from Australia (Where I live) I set filters as only in Australia to purchase.

Then a seller that location says and shows  Australia. Once payment and order confirmed  and a thank you for payment and order, delivery changes expect item date (usually a month but delivery always much longer then they say will be delivered.)   When I notice that purchase is not in Australia from message seller shows and signs off with foreign signature.

Isn't that false advertising?

Yes I could dig down every time make a purchase  by contacting seller but I thought  E-Bay filter would not put overseas sellers in my search.

No digging down required... one click on the Seller's feedback # shows where they are registered.

Works for me.

Why would you 'dig down' when all it takes is pressing ONE button?

The listing shows item location (where the seller says the item is), not seller location

Very very easy not to support dodgey sellers

However people keep on doing so over and over, helping them to stay in business when it takes a second to see who you are buying from

Even if a seller IS in Australia, it does not mean their stock is

They could be dropshipping

They and their item could be in Australia and they are still a dodgey seller

One button

No digging
