The 15-16% would be fairly average for a lot of sellers. This is because of the 10% FVF on postage. This is not part of the sale price of the item but adds signifigantly to the fees that ebay take from the sellers profit. I run two medium sized stores, plus sell by auction on a private account with free listings and pay between 15% and 20% in fees to ebay. Since the FVF on postage came in my profit margins have been slimmed down quite a bit, taking the cream off my sales.
