Why does the buyer want a refund?
Has the buyer opened an eBay case or just sent a message?
When was the item delivered?
Details are important if you want some advice.

Lets be honest here, your ad doesnt mention any dings and scrapes, the wording in fact says nothing about demonstrator or issues.
Yes your condition in item specifics does say New (other), and demonstrator. But it is not really in new condition, and as such your wording and pictures should have indicated the issues.
IMHO it should be refunded as item not as described,

Yes, it says demonstrator
It is also under 'new'
And nothing more
Demonstrator does not instantly mean damaged, especially when listed 'new' (which in itself is a stretch)
Buyer has every right to a refund since it was not described accurately
It is not as if you were unaware of the damage
