BIN stays after bids ?

Just a bit of news and I don't know if it's only on overseas sites or across the board.

Could even be a temp glitch.

I recently bid on an item and the BIN remained on the listing.

Has anyone experienced the same or seen it in listings?

Might be an OS thing. There are any number of complaints on these boards about BIN disappearing when a bid is made.

I know that has been a function available on the US site for quite a while, though I think there are more limitations on it than there used to be.

This is the same page on the Oz site, http://pages.ebay.com.au/help/buy/questions/buy-it-now.html , and just says that it can remain for a limited time in some categories.

If the bid is less than a reserve price the BIN will remain.

dave - I think you are right. Item is from Europe.

DG - Good info, many thanks. I am the first bidder so could also be that. I think there may be many that are not aware some categories have that special option.

AF - Good thinking, but no reserve on this one.

Summation - There appear to be some ebay sites around the world that have limited categories whereas the BIN stays until it reaches 50% of BIN price or will remain at first bid for a limited time.
