Can i pick up a purchase from a private sale during Corona Virus.

How can I pick up an item that I just purchased on Ebay during the Corona Virus. 

Are we allowed to travel to pick up the item?

I think it depends on which state you are in.

NSW are very strict as their virus stats are on the rise.

Some other states are talking about easing restrictions.

Perhaps check with your state Covid19 regulations online.

As kopes said. I think Victoria are the most oppressive.

I will note that the time to consider this was before you purchased. Unless, of course, you bought several weeks ago and have only just found out about the restrictions.

Courier services are still allowed to trade and take all safety precautions.

Is the pick up place on the way to your supermarket? You could always combine the pick up with an allowed visit to buy groceries.

I've been doing pick ups. I meet buyers at Bunnings. All good 👍

I think it is going to depend where you are located and the rules in your state, but in any case, I would give it a miss over the Easter long weekend as police are making more of a push at the moment.

If the thing you bought is fairly close to you, maybe in a suburb not too far away, you could pick it up from a porch as you passed by on your way to shops. I guess it means paying via paypal. Have shopping bags in your car.
