Of course you are covered as an eBay Plus member. so long as you adhere to the time limits and conditions of the MBG, if not Paypal's dispute process can be used if you paid that way.
More details needed on your other problems.

1. Did you contact the seller before returning them ?
2. It would be classed as a "change of mind" return, so you would not get your postage fees back, and may have to pay the seller a restocking fee.
3. Did you open a return case with eBay, if so did they give you an address to return the shoes to ?
4. It sounds as though you've gone about the return in the wrong way, if so it's not the seller's fault nor eBay's fault.

So from your very limited explanation, you just decided to return it without any consultation with the seller or Ebay. If you gave as detailed description as you did above I wouldn't blame the seller or Ebay

did the whole process by asking for auspost return label. Shoes were returned to me faster than the first purchase post. just want to warn others. Ebay plus sellers are 10,000 times better.
stay away for Authenticity guys

The link below shows you the process you MUST follow for a return.

Edit to add. For a "change of mind return" which yours is, if the seller states in the listing that they do not allow change of mind returns, you are stuck with the shoes.

What is the item number (RHS of the listing page) ?
