Ebay problem? Paypal problem? or seller problem?

Hi, I recently bought a goods from ebay, buy now and paid by paypal.

only 4 days I received the goods. However Ebay sent  email ask me to pay 10days later.

And again ebay sent another email 15 days later said because unpaid items I am become a restricted buyer.

This is unpleasant and rediculous.

Any one has same experience?

Thanks.

Sean

No, I haven't had that. Are you sure the email was from eBay - was it in eBay messaging in your account?

If it was phone eBay on the link below during business hours to sort it out.

If the email was just in your private email server, it was probably a phishing email, so run all your virus programs and change passwords, and beware of unsolicited emails.

Yes, it is available in Australia but don't ask me anything about it....if I can't pay the full amount in one go I don't buy.

To my way of thinking it is a disaster waiting to happen

buy now/ pay later is like a lay-by agreement i thought.... I didnt know it was implementes yet though.

I havent seen it advertised either.....

(I knew they were looking into it, some time back)

Re: Op emails, sounds like scam emails to me. But, better to ring ebay and find out. Make sure you have your item number and paypal receipt details on the ready.

I believe there is an option with PayPal where you can purchase goods and the funds will be debited from your bank account two weeks later, but buyers are aware when that option is used and the seller is still paid immediately. The payment status on eBay would still be 'paid' so it would not cause reminders from eBay if that was used.

It does sound fishy - is the payment status on eBay still completed and showing as paid?

Did the payment go through as paid fully by PP or as an echeque through PP?

Which may have then bounced and payment isn't recorded as paid,(hence the need to pay rminders).

The only way to get it sorted is to contact eBay:

This gives you their direct links without having to go through their rigmarole:

eg: Call us,Call me,Chat with us and Email us.

http://ocsnext.ebay.com.au/ocs/cusr?query=1485

Just keep in mind that Call us or Call me option are only available

during business hours,(8 am to 9 pm Mon to Fri and 8 am to

5 pm on Sat and Sun).

It is paid immidiately by Paypal. The seller said it is automatic massage sent by ebay.

But Ebay never answer my complain.

I remember after I buy goods this time,  I receive the seller's advertisement email every day.

After I unsubscribe from them,7 days and 15 days later  I received  two email ask me to pay, and told me I am a restricted buyer.

This is unacceptable.  I do not know how should give feed back to the seller.

Until now ebay do not have any responding.

Do you have same experience?

Sean, as others have suggested here, you need to speak with an eBay representative - use either of the "call us / call me" options as linked by go-tazz above, and detail the issue to them.

Much quicker than writing an email and awaiting a reply.

Your experience sounds uncommon - some of the people who have replied here already are long time users of eBay with a lot of experience, so if none of them have encountered they issue you described, speaking to eBay is definitely what you need to do.
