Hi everyone
I want to share my good news story with you.
I made a purchase and paid for it on 5th November. This item was coming from Malaysia so I knew it would take a long while to arrive.
On day 40 (15th December) I messaged my seller that the product hadn't arrived. Within the hour they replied and offered a resend or refund. I accepted their offer of a refund. The refund came within the next 30mins.
Fast forward to 22 December: the item performs a Christmas miracle and arrives! Yay. Next, I message my seller telling them good news and ask to repay them. Once again, they reply within the hour with the info for repayment. Bam, payment made, happy times.
A nice happy outcome for all parties!

I bought something that said the item location was UK
But it was free postage, so I thought "What the heck, why not"
Expecting it to take about 3 weeks, I pushed it to the back of my mind, for now.
It turned up within the week, sent from NSW
(Complete with customs declaration, I might add)
What the???

Could Customs have searched the package and then repacked it and then sent it to you?

Not likely. The return address was a NSW address.
It was a 500gr satchel
And things from the UK don't turn up within the week

When Customs inspect a package they usualy cut it open with a Stanley knife/box cutter and then tape it back up with tape labelled "Opened by Customs for inspection" or something like that. It definitely arrives in the original packing.

I've had 3 items turn up months after being refunded. 2 sellers gave me their details to repay, which I was more than happy to do. They were extremely grateful that I was honest enough to contact them. The 3rd seller said not to worry. Consider it a gift for having to wait for so long. I was quite insistent about repaying. They were very insistent that I don't. It was only $10, but even so, $10 is a lot of money when you don't have it.
It's nice to hear a good news story for a change!
