I recently paid for2 phone covers and got only one. No refund no response. I opened request and now its closed after 21 day No actions. Is there any way contact some live person on EBay not an automatic response?


I shopped with Ebay so far but probably I need switch to Amazon. Its only $10 item but what if it was something real expensive? It seems theree is no way to directly contact Ebay personnel.

Yes. I received package but I ordered 2 items. and in the parcel was only one .

You have just lost the dispute because you have opened the wrong one.

 

The seller has been able to prove that an item was delivered to you.

What you should have done was open a Not As Described dispute....you ordered two items but only received one.

I am quite sure you would need to follow the correct procedure with The River, too

 

 As mentioned, the incorrect dispute was opened, and even then, no action

 

Live Chat is still available, as far as I am aware but as it was over 30 days ago, I doubt it would make a difference even if the call center was open

Plenty of scammers on Amazon, it's no better or worse than sellers here.

Unfortunately, there are some sellers who don't include the correct quantity on purpose, but because they send with tracking, they can prove that the item has been shipped and delivered. Looking at their feedback, they have some negatives which indicate some buyers also received 1 item when that ordered 2 or more.

 

If an item has tracking, it is better to open an "Item Not as Described" case.

 

Since Ebay has closed the case, you could try opening one in Paypal, which gives 180 days, with the advise above.

A paypal dispute is unlikely to be successful in this case either.....the seller can prove you got something and if it is not as described you will have to send it back to get the correct item unless the seller decides he does not want it back.

Opening a wrong dispute is a trap for new players unfortunately.

 

You might have more success doing a chargeback through your credit card provider.
