Scam alert

Just saw MY sale item Photos that are currently in ebay on a shopping place calling itself REMOVED

They are offering a product that is in my home, at half my listing price no less.

Had no issues adding it to their cart, but didnt proceed to checkout.

Clearly they will be unable to deliver if someone decides to make the purchase.

Am keen to learn if anyone else has had this experience?

Also, who might I best report them to.

There are sites to check if a site is legitimate, like this one: https://www.scamadviser.com/

I have found photos of items I had bought in the past on some sites (exactly the same photos as they were in the listings).

Usually a hint that a site is a scam is when you go to "contact" and there is just an online form or possibly an email address, but no physical address.

If it's a legitimate site report it to the site.

Scam sites scrape listings from Ebay, Etsy and other platforms and then put them on at very cheap prices. Their main aim is not to sell,  but to get credit card and identifying information.

You may be able to report it to the domain registrar, although it's a bit like playing whack-a-mole with these guys.
