It is either sellers making typos, inflating the price until they get stock, or trying it on.

It would only be a scam if anybody was mug enough to buy. So, don't buy. Simple.

Ebay will not control the price of any item because they get a percentage in final fee.

If the price is a rip off dont buy it.
