how dosellers get away with not sending the correct item & ebay favours the seller your not covered

i sent photos to the seller about the dressing table, and that it was the wrong one.

yes it  was supposed to have been delivered on the 27th and it had not got here

Was the 27th the first or the last date of the estimated delivery date?

eBay do not give one specific day. They make a guess somewhere between several dates

So you opened a not received dispute because it hadn't arrived by the 27th. That's OK. Now that the item has arrived, but isn't as described, you should be able to change the dispute to item not as described. If there is no option to do that, go to the help page at the top or bottom of any page and scroll down to contact us. Get onto live chat and explain that the item has now arrived, but it's not what you bought. You may have to really dumb it down for them to understand what you're talking about. They should hopefully be able to change the dispute for you.
