If you did indeed close the claim, eBay consider you are happy with the outcome
There is no reason to close a claim on a seller's say so
And the only type of seller who say close a case and they will refund/resend etc 100% have exactly 0% of doing anything
There is nothing stopping a seller refunding/re-sending ect while there is an open case

It's a trick! The seller knows that a closed case cannot be reopened, so if you close a case, he or she will just ignore you.
Did you use PayPal to pay? If you did, you could still open a case in PP.
The seller's 97.7% positive feedback speaks for itself...
