Art Deco (I think) figurine.

Wanting to find out if this is worth anything, and if so would it be worth my while getting it restored.  Again, if so, where on earth would I take it.

It appears to be plaster over a metal 'frame', and obviously has some damage.

Plaster or perhaps chalkware with a celluose paint finish?  Very hard to tell from a photo - I would have said something moulded like ivorine, but that would not explain the wire "frame". Possibly the damage has come about because the metal below has corroded?

To me it does not look like it is worth restoring (I am sure it would be expensive if indeed it was possible) but it may have sentimental value. I don't know where you live but antique dealers / auction houses may be able to recommend someone local to you.

No sentimental value.  Bought at a garage sale years ago.

Apart from trying to sell my Australian pottery, I'm also attempting (!!??) to have a bit of a clean up, and either sell or get rid of things I don't want.

I'm drowning under a sea of pottery and other things I've accumulated over the years, plus I now have quite a bit  of my mum's stuff here to dispose of as well.

So just chip, chipping away.
