Hi there,
I have a $1 coin that seems to be a bit odd shape on one side and wondered if it was worth anything. I don't know anything about coins so some information would be very much appreciated. The coin does have an edge at the top even though it doesn't look like it.
Thank you very much.
Debra.

This coin is an error coin and it has a broadstrike which means it wasn't inserted properly when struck.
It could be worth a bit and it depends on what a buyer is willing to pay for it.
Contacting an Australian Numismatic Association might be a good idea to find out its true value.

you so much for your reply. I am a stamp collector and no errors in stamps can be worth a lot and know coins can be too but have no idea of what maes it an error. Yes I think I'll contact someone from there.
Thanks again.
Debra.
