Ok the text didnt attach to the photos!

I found these at the op shop last week.

The large one measures 42cm x 35cm (17" x 14") across the actually picture

The small one is 25cm x 19cm (10" x 8")

After some research, it appears that they are hand embroidered. Ebay US have a couple of framed ones for sale for over $250 each.

The colours are really vibrant - better than the camera can capture.

Any info would be greatly appreciated!

I am certainly no expert but these to me look like relatively modern tourist type items. There are a number that look similar

both sold and for sale - all seem to be around $20-25 mark. The design, bright colours and workmanship would seem to indicate to me that they are not valuable antique pieces. My local Chinese restaurant has similar looking framed pictures on their walls. Hopefully someone can offer better advice.

I think they are Chinese, not Japanese.
