Hi all. I am hoping someone can give me a name for this type of chain please. I know it is an Albert fob chain for a pocket watch, but I am trying to find out what the pattern of the chain links would be called (like a curb chain or a belcher, or figaro chain for example). It is very ornate and unusual, and any idea of age would be appreciated as well ๐ Thanks in advance
cheers
Rae

Does this link help?

As to age, unless you can get some help from stamps/ markings, I think it would be anyone's guess. They seem to have been made in similar styles for at least 100 years, and are still being made today. Currently people really don't seem to care about age; it is the quality of the manufacture and the material used which seems to determine price and saleability.

I'd just call it a double Albert fancy link chain, it's very nice.
