I know nothing about Chinese pewter or Chinese script - however on pottery and porcelain these are known as seal marks. It may be these are the same markings - if you Google
"chinese seal marks" - images - you will find a vast array of marks, which you may be able to match up.

They do look interesting. From my experience, it is very difficult to tell if they are "the real deal" or copies. It may be better to take them to a specialised dealer and they may be able to shed more light on the subject. Hope that helps ? Hope they can tell you some good news. 🙂

The Chinese is an older dialect.
The square stamp is as follows -
From Area - Chao Yang
Shop name or owner - Yin Hui
Also states - Original quality material and No 2nd price. In other words no negotiating on price.
My friend feels this is perhaps more then 100 years old and could have some value.
The other round stamp is similar except it is from San Tou, a city near the other item.
Not sure of shop name.
