fifty dollor note

hi just wondering about this note seems to have been cut short and the stars are diffrent shape

number AA99106976 is a dud or a seller

yes....does look short on the left....can't really see the stars...can you take a photo over a black background?

Just checked a $50 and mine is shorter on the other side so it's just the way it has been cut IMO

The stars are the same as the image you have shown.

I have just checked three $50 notes and one of them does not line up with the other 2...it looks just like the one pictured.

 

I think it is just the way it has been cut.

It's common for notes to be trimmed incorrectly.

That's what appears to have happened here.

If you are selling as a AA note you will need to state the fact as many collectors won't be happy to receive a note that is not trimmed correctly.

Some collectors like to collect AA notes as they are usually first issues.

But in the case of these $50 notes there are plenty of AA notes around.

Very first issue is prefix AA95..................being 1995, yours is AA99......... being 1999. 

So not particularly special. If it was UNC, it may sell for a little over face value but most won't want the trim error.
