Anyone read the Jelena Dokic book?

I have dropped the hint what a lovely Christmas present

the book would be Woman Wink

What an amazing women she has become considering

the abuse she endured - I have watched her interviews

and shed a tear - I can't help but wonder how different

her tennis career may have been had she received some

love and support.

Don't know that I could read it.  It would be an emotionally hard book to get through IMO

Anyone read the Jelena Dokic book?

Heard her interviewed by John Faine on ABC radio this morning.

Hope we deported her father.

She is coaching little ones and may think about joining some veterans tennis matches.

Hope she does for her sake as she loves playing tennis.

I agree stawka - but I have the need to know

how she survived the abuse and how her mind

allowed her to still play such amazing tennis.

Personally I would have cracked.

Kopes she speaks well and appears to have

moved on - she has a very supportive partner

who from memory I think she's been with

since about 2003. I read her Father is broke

and trying to sell the family home - Jelena

paid for.

Oh great.

Yeah she gave him all her money hoping it would change things.

But as she said, it didn't.
