kewpie doll heads don't bob, other than that absolutely no idea what this thread is about.

OP could get a job writing headlines for tabloid newspapers.
A kewpie doll, head firmly attached (as boris mentioned).

OP refers to this I suppose
As a result of the Budget, CSIRO research programs into bowel cancer – the second largest cause of cancer deaths in Australia – will cease completely. CSIRO research in the neurosciences – including critical research into Alzheimer’s, dementia and other diseases affecting growing numbers of Australia’s ageing population – will also be shut down entirely.
Yesterday Tony Abbott said:
“This is a Government which is dedicated to science, which is devoted to research, and wants to massively increase Australia’s research effort.”
Tony Abbott – Press Conference – 26 August 2014
His own Budget papers prove that this a lie.

Alzheimers is a worldwide epidemic. More research needs to be done on it, not less.

...the decision last week to quietly dump the Dementia and Severe Behaviours Supplement.
The modest payment of $16 per day supported more than 20,000 carers of people with dementia.
Assistant Minister for Social Services Mitch Fifield dropped the bombshell in the Senate on Wednesday and payments ceased just one day later.
“I have not taken this decision lightly,” Senator Fifield said. “But there was no other responsible course of action in the circumstances.”
The Senator blamed the previous Labor Government, saying the scheme had far exceeded demand and its budget had blown out.

Smart move (NOT). If these people aren't able to continue to live in their own homes (without this supplement) they will have to move into retirement homes at a far greater cost, per person, to the Govt than $16 per day.

One days notice the supplement is being cut.. unreal.
Is this what you are calling disgusting OP?
Labor leader Bill Shorten is in the Canberra borough of Belconnen, visiting an aged care facility.
He is having a go at the Coalition for a cut to dementia payments.
