Catching Milat is a period drama on the Backpacker Murders coming soon to Channel Seven.

Over two compelling episodes, Catching Milat will tell the true story of how the NSW Police Taskforce Air, and in particular Detective Paul Gordon, tracked down and caught Ivan Milat – the man responsible for the infamous Backpacker Murders.

I am not shocked by killings or much but Milat was very creepy, even by my standards.

Agree re both of the above comments.

No benefit to society in him still being alive.

He should be 'put down' and their would be plenty willing.

The great grand nephew of Ivan Milat was sentenced to 43 years, parole 30 years, for an horrific killing in the same forest

After watching that report about the great nephew or whatever he is I don't think I'd have the stomach to watch the documentary.  Truly evil people make me go sick in the stomach.

And you are probably contributing a lot more than you realise Katy.

Ivan is in SuperMax in Goulburn and if you knew half of what he gets up to it would make your hair curl.

If he decides he wants a day out he demands to see his lawyer.  The request must be granted as soon as practical and it takes at least 3 vehicles and 4 officers to take him to Sydney.  It really is a joke the way he can manipulate the system.

It's a pity an 'accident' couldnt happen at some point.
No loss to anyone.
Surely a door could be accidentally left open to another area in the prison.

Heads would roll if a prisoner ever got out of SuperMax....it just could not happen with the security that is in place.
