My daughter bought a Buckskin galloway brumby back in the 1980s. She was completely green...mouthed and could be ridden but had no other training whatsoever. She was the most willing little girl and a genuine sweetie. Daughter trained her for a year or so then sold her on as show ready but inexperienced.
About 2 years later when DD arrived at the stables where our horses were someone told her a new backskin had moved in just down the aisle (of interest to her as we were currently showing a 12hh buckskin Riding Pony very successfully). She wandered down to have a look and burst out laughing...it was Sandy. No-one believed Daughter when she said she had trained Sandy.....so she reeled of the name of the girl she sold her to and a lot of other details about her. The girl appeared round the corner and was astonished to see DD....and confirmed that she had bought the horse from DD.
I am sure my daughter would be happy to have another Brumby if she had the chance.
