Please pardon my ignorance as I can not find what I need to know.
I have looked at you tube and other places on how to fit seat covers to a 2013 Prado GXL
I can not workout how to get the sides in place past the big plastic shroud.
Can anyone tell me if this needs to be taken off or is there a way to pass the fabric between the seat and shroud to be able to tie it off to fit firmly.
Hope this makes sense.

Do more research before taking the shroud off.
Ask a car detailer or where you purchased the seat covers.

Dunno. But I hope there's no airbags in the sides of the seats.
Otherwise seat covers are a no-no.

I have been in contact with the people I purchased them from and they could not help 😞
We have been looking at so much for help but there was nothing to show how to remove the shroud so not trying that without any info.
😞
Might have to go back to where the car was purchased and see if they can help if nothing else can be done or found

Any dealer should be able to tell you ho to fit the covers......you don't need to go to where you bought the car.
How are you sparklz?

I suggest you wear eye protection when fitting the covers. I had a friend who ended up with permanent eye damage when trying to fit seat covers, because something sprang back and hit her in the eye.

Some seat covers allow air bags these days.
Thanks all for your replies.

I'd recommend Joe's Garage, they'd sort it out in a jiffy
Alternatively you could buy a different model

But seriously, not all general type seat covers are meant to fit all, even though they may claim that!
