A radio station in Sydney fooled a lot of people on April 1. (think it was Ian Macrae on 2sm)

 

The Centre Point Tower building had either been close to completion or had just been.

They said that the main structure was telescopic and that during low clouds, it could be lowered,

so the people on the observation deck and in the restaurant  would still have a  good view.
