It's life Jim.... perhaps as we know it?

NASA finds first 'habitable' Earth-like planet

What's the interest in finding other inhabitable planets?

Tourist destinations?

Off shore processing?

New lands to conquer/invade and pilfer?

With Transnational Law still in its infancy and working hard to control Earthly actions, imagine how hard intergasllactic Law would be to administer!

If there is life etc elsewhere, why can't we just leave them alone?

Or is there perhaps a chance that through studying other existences, we might be able to learn a few things for use on Earth?

I dunno, but it just seems like a lot of money is spent to have a peek at what the neighbours are doing.

Yeah like we have to trash our own planet to get the resources to make space travel possible to discover inhabitable new worlds to live on once earth has become uninhabitable.

Make sense?

NOT!

no 'chocolate bunnies' ?

that sucks.

As to the topic, I agree, if as much money as was spent on trying to find other 'viable' worlds was spent on fixing this one, we wouldn't need to be looking.

heard on a TV show, some yanks playin' around with science projects, forget the name of the show

one of them said nasa has shut down any future space travel projects and will probably be taken over by the private sector

all I know, if they find a place out there for us to inhabit - I SAS won't be able to afford a spot on the lunar train.

I've heard they're terraforming Mars for future colonisation.

Slartibartfast should be able to give them a few tips on that lol.
