i just dont understand why the govt is being so head in the sand over this law change.

it doesnt matter if you like the idea of same sex marriage or not, its going to happen sooner or later, no doubt about it.

so why not just get it over with? move on!

its like giving women the vote, making aboriginals part of society ect ect. there comes a time to stop fighting a war you cant win.

as if the govt didnt have enough problems, why include something so rediculous?

The lib/col party is in that old hole called trouble with same sex marriage, they have a get together group cuddle session to decide on how to get out of the hole.....

"lets dig the hole deeper it might work" someone shouts from the back!

i guess i'll be visiting all the unocupied holiday houses in my area, collecting the voting papers and filling em out and posting them in.

I don't get it. To me marriage is about two people who presumably love each other, and who want to formally commit to each other. What has gender got to do with it? I think it becomes controversial when the subject of children is raised. But why should any two people be denied the same right as a man/woman couple solely because they are of the same gender. Lets face it, many man/woman marriages aren't exactly serving as role model marriages these days!

As a long time postal voter I can assure you that it is not as easy as that to manipulate the vote.
