Should the world be worried?

The USA knows about it.    Why are they doing nothing?

They were going to line it with cement, but decided it was too expensive???

It already has sea water inside.  Plutonium has a radio-active half shelf life

of about 24,000 years.

Yes, the world should be worried.

And there they go worryng about North Korea, while the US government knows only to well that they are the biggest culprits in putting the whole world in danger.

This will not be an isolated area of ocean that is poluted. Fsh and crustaceans move over thousands of miles through the oceans to get to different breeding and feeding places every year, and even the oceans waters are constantly moving.

They tell us "Eat more fish for your health." LOL, just don't ask how healthy the fish is.

Over centuries the USA has an awful lot to answer to.

Yes, especially for the innocent people in the Marshall Islands,  indeed for everyone whose home country shoreline meets the Pacific Ocean, and ultimately the whole globe.  An environmental disaster with massive repercussions.

You have to wonder how the US could ever have pulled this off, with no outcry at the time???

Too little too late, but there should be an outcry now, and more than that, immediate assistance provided from the US government.

All the furore recentlyy about nuclear capability in North Korea, Trump vs Il Jong, and all the while this seepage from US detonations.......

Sidetracked.

i dont know anything much about building and testing nukes.

but if this is the result of testing nukes back in the 50's

how is Nth Korea 'testing' its nukes without poisoning its own land/people?

They probably are being poisoned - but that wouldn't worry 'Dear Leader' as long as he can posture on the world stage.

There was a report on Foreign Correspondent last night. As well as nuking their islands and using some Marshall Islanders as human guinea pigs, the U.S military sent 4000 of their own to construct the facility and transfer the contaminated waste to it. According to a couple of the G.Is that worked there, they were not issued with any protective clothing. Many of those have either died of contracted multiple illnesses including of course various cancers. They have not been offered any medical care or compensation. Washington, the most vile, corrupt place on the planet, probably followed by Downing St.
