Thermomix Tips

I have ordered mine today, not going to change my mind as my lovely mummy is buying it for me.

I'm interested in the more healthy side of cooking, fresh vegies and herbs etc without additives of any kind.

For those that have one, which pages and recipes do you follow?

Re: Thermomix Tips

It definitely is a money saver though it may not feel that way at first as you change your pantry over. Lots of great places online to get specialist ingredients too.

Healthy means different things to different people. I like some of Quirky Cooking recipes, some of Thermobexta. Not much of Skinnymixers, although many other people rave about it. Cooking with Tenina (but she's not very 'healthy'), Thermomumma is great if you want to make bread, scrolls, etc, her recipes are very reliable. Thermobread if you want to try sourdoughs, Asian doughs etc. Paleo Lunchbox is good. Jude Blereau Wholefood Cooking. Wholefood Simply. Super Kitchen Machine (Thermomix). Well Fed The Clothes Make The Girl (not a TMX blog but great recipes). The Domestic Man.

My facebook is awash with food groups lol, I follow about 200 🙂

Another dodgy product? Those burns look to be fairly severe and I imagine the cost of treating them would far exceed any potential savings to be gained by using this product.

One needs to buy "special imgredients"?

The thrermomix is nothing more than a "thneed". we don't need one of these lurking in our kitchen just waiting to jump out and pounce with burning claws all unexpectedly.

What's wrong with just buying real food and cooking it in a real manner? the only special ingredients I need are fresh foods, fresh herbs and spices and a few pans and a wok to put on my stove.

We're time poor? try spending a few weeks in a burns unit in a hospital meditating on the slapdash speedy-but-oh-so-dangerous method of preparing what usually turns out to be bas cuisine anyway.

It's a thneed*. it's a product. it makes a promise which it cannot keep and charges heaps of $$$ into the heavily marketed "bargain".

.

Business as usual, I suppose.

"My facebook is awash with food groups lol, I follow about 200"

I have a dozen or so good cook books on my bookshelf and an internet connetion which allows me to access an almost unlimited number of recipes.

I  don't have a facebook account and nor do I want or need one. I'm just an old-fashioned sort of guy. 😉

As Joshcaro said, you don't need an appliance to eat healthy. It's a "look at me" thing and then you can brag to everybody that you have one.

I like to cook healthy and I have a nutri bullet for whizzing whole foods. I don't want an appliance that I have to take lessons to use and I sure wouldn't outlay over $2038 for one that could explode and give me 3rd degree burns.

Enjoy it though if you feel you have to have.
