Thermomix Tips

I have ordered mine today, not going to change my mind as my lovely mummy is buying it for me.

I'm interested in the more healthy side of cooking, fresh vegies and herbs etc without additives of any kind.

For those that have one, which pages and recipes do you follow?

It definitely is a money saver though it may not feel that way at first as you change your pantry over. Lots of great places online to get specialist ingredients too.

Omigosh! the beetroot salad was amazing!

I was not blown away by the hommus dip, I think it was probably lacking some flavours but I also prefer cheese dips.

So, 2 weeks and I will be cooking in it, happily looking up recipes now but the children were very impressed by all of it, they ate the beetroot salad and asked for more.

The garlic pizza bread was amazing!

It's not the appliance that dictates a healthy menu, it's the ingredients you purchase.  Is it true that the Thermomix costs over $1000?  You could buy a lot of Big Macs for that much moola.............Smiley Very Happy

Sorry I'm just so over gadgets, they cost too much , take up more cupboard space and gather too much dust.

You can do just as much and be just as healthy in almost the same amount of time with your standard pots and pans etc.

Mine is not going in any cupboard and will not be gathering any dust. Plus it is a gift that I will be using. Daily most likely

the idea of thermomix is

that its all-in-one so you wont

need to use all your other gadgets.

just turn it on and it does it all

for you.

its like a little kitchen inside your

kitchen so once you start using it,

you will never need to put it away. Smiley Happy

I have one of the older ones and absolutely love it. Use it at least 8 or 9 times a week. We make our own bread, process herbs and veggies from our garden, jams from fruit we grow. It has completely ruined take away for us as we know we can make at healthier, tastier version at home for much less cost. There are some fabulous facebook groups so look up Skinnymixers, Thermomumma, TM5 Hints & Tips, Thermofun, Cooking With Tenina to start with. Sistermixin' are good for additive free advice but their website is down at the moment.

Thanks very much, all great tips. We rarely have take away anyway. My daugher had her party a few days ago and is loving it. She lives quite remotely so it is really good for her as not all food is readily available all the time.

Yes, I was reading recently on a facebook group that the thermomix was one of the best investments to save on money where food is concerned.
