That's old news and being dealt with.
So why not just ban all animals as there has to be a few of all types that have been abused by someone.
Ban all dogs as a few use them for dog fighting and pig hunting.
Ban chickens as some use them for fighting.
Ban horses as some do abuse them in all forms.
There must lots of others out there,
Charities like the RSPCA, Animal Welfare League NSW, and others are all involved.

Most that are against "cruelty" have watched videos were something goes wrong that has been chosen
deliberately by the animal "activist" for shock effect and so many jump on the band wagon about animal
cruelty,etc.
For every one that abuses an animal there are over a hundred that do the right thing,(punish the ones that do
the wrong thing,not the ones that do the right thing),
