Wedge-tailed eagles tracked by researcher not afraid to spend time in the treetops

I love raptors, especially eagles and ospreys..........I once watched an eagle chasing an osprey up at Lost Creek Lake..........one minute they would be at water level, the next hundreds of feet in the air. It was like watching a bomber chasing a fighter..........the eagle would close on the osprey, then the osprey would dodge.

Downtown Eugene there is a bald eagle nest in a fir tree, a popular site for photography.  I once posted this a few years ago, can't claim it as my own.

A sad story of schiedenfried. ( is that how you spell it  )

A "wedgy" took one of my baby lambs in his claws. When he flew off he obviosly failed to check the sky was clear for take off above him. His giant wing span was enough to reach across two power lines resulting in one toasted wedgy with new born lamb still in claws.
