Major donors Liberal Party 2013 election: according to the Australian Electoral Commission include
mining company Santos ($227,880),
Clive Palmer's Minerology ($459,900),
nickel miners Minara Resources ($358,000)
and Mincor Resources ($120,000),
Newcastle Coal Infrastructure Group ($50,000), and
oil giant Chevron ($28,500).
But these are gifts and no political favors to be returned... yeah right.
Australia got played for suckers.

SN: "Who funded Tony's political campaign?"
Who funded Rudds?
SN I do love references, and being in a hurry can only find monies donated , via the AEC site up to the 2011-2012 (released Feb 1, 2013 ) period here:
http://periodicdisclosures.aec.gov.au/Default.aspx Which is interesting reading.
Could you supply the AEC reference/URL for the 2013 campaign please
Another interesting site: http://www.smh.com.au/data-point/gambling-interests-miners-big-donors-to-political-parties-20130201-...

Talking about a green eyed monster (tongue in cheek) the Greens do not accept any donations from business, corporations, et al.

Some people are authorised to access not yet published information on the AEC site. They need a password.
Not all the information is final as it takes some time to get the Declarations from all political parties, at which time it becomes public
.

actually it was the State Gov in QLD that made that decision.. and it was not that they would not build a train line but it went the most viable option through an independent committee. *giggle*
