Campbell Newboy loses his seat and the Libs win a majority or it's a hung parliament?
Who is next on the Lib list to lead?

NIcholls, treasurer, and Seeney, deputy premier, have been fighting for years, and both want the job.

If it's a hung parliament do they all get a vote or only the party members?

If Newman loses his seat, he can stay on and convince someone else to leave within weeks and force a by-election. If he wins, he will still be premier. But that move can be challenged, and knowing the fighting that has taken place on the conservative side for years and years, it will be.
In other words, he can parachute himself back into the job. Not unknown to him, he did just that last election. He was not in parliament, he was lord mayor. He had no parliamentary experience at all.
I think that the others at the top have resented him for doing that, when they had been gathering experience and working towards the top job for years. There two or three who want the job.

He might have to change the colour of his tie, and for goodness sake, find him some pants.
