I didn't read that news, but did they also use the terms "uneducated" or "insular"?

Perhaps they were likening abbott supporters to tea party supporters in the USA?

I think I agree with the article, it reminds me of that research that demonstrated radical right wingers have a low IQ and poor education completion 😄
